Bonjour,
Before you get too far into my blog I would like to let you know exactly what it is that I intend for this blog to be. These pictures and stories are intended for my family, my mother and father, as a way of showing that I am first of all OK, and second, having a good time here NYC. It is also for my sister as a way of hopefully luring her to comeback and visit (we had a damn fine time as you will see as I get the pictures up). For my friends this is a way of letting you know what I am doing without calling, cause we all know that I am for crap at calling. Finally it is for Molly and myself, as a way of tracking our time here, encouraging us to go out and see more, and to become better New Yorkers (without all the rage).
Hopefully the pictures will be able to speak for themselves, and there will be little inane ramblings from myself about the locations in the city, subways to ride, and cross streets, but as I stated before, this blog is for my family who know as little about New York as I did one year ago so there will be some information about what is going on. For those of you in the know about the city, please be quiet.
One last thing, Molly and I try and do something new every Sunday, and we will try and post the place and time we are headed too the next week; so that if our friends are in the neighbourhood or just simply bored and looking for something to do, they can come out and join us. Almost all trips end up at the pub for pints and talk afterwards so let us know you are coming and we will look for you.

Sweet, these pictures better be good, well framed, nicely lit, with something to say. Or I am going to be royally upset and have to start a letter writing campaign to protest.
