Prior to moving to the city I had been living on my own in a sweet apartment on the back of a garage that I rented from the Carters. Good people the Carters, they put up with a lot of strange stuff. Loud Bar B-Q parties, digging bocce courts, and mean loud soccer matches between my old roommate Jason and I. It was a good place. Molly moved in at the beginning of the summer, we had a good summer, Molly worked at the Homesteader which is a kitchen store and I finished my tour at the Bottleneck.
The Homesteader
The Bottleneck

The Bottleneck was my family's store for over 30 years. In many ways it was like a family member, so when my father sold it this past September it was a tough time on me, but Mom and Dad are happy to be semi-retired now, so it's all good.
My sister also graduated from Denver University, this is the whole family outside.

Steamboat is a very active community as you can imagine. We spend a lot of time outside playing. It is a very different lifestyle than that of the city, and it's been one of the most difficult things for me to adjust to. The next few pictures are just examples of the things that we do for fun in the mountains.

What a great looking store. Is it still there or did they change it into a baby clothing place?
