(Another Molly post)
For Thanksgiving, I went home to St. Louis, but Cody was not able to leave - the "joys" of retail life (or so I am learning). Since he would not be able to enjoy the best meal of the year, I decided to make it for him at our apartment the Sunday prior to the day. It was my third year making Thanksgiving on my own (first in Dublin, second for my roommates/friends Senior Year). We had Erica, her boyfriend, Loren, Brian (who has been present at every one of my Thanksgivings), and my uncle, Rob, and aunt, Celia. I made a 20 lb. turkey, home-made stuffing, and all the other appropriate trimmings. Cody took care of the wine, naturally. I think we had 6 bottles for the seven of us.
Below is Cody and me making gravy.

While we finished making the dinner, our guests were enjoying appetizers. Who wouldn't want to try some veggies with dip offered by Rob?

Dinner was a success. Below is a picture of all of us (minus Celia, who was taking the picture): Rob, Erica, Loren, Cody, me, and Brian. This was post-meal, which is why we all look a bit tired and stuffed.
Finally, below is Celia, myself, and Rob. I was glad they joined us for our meal, especially since the year before they spent Thanksgiving at a Long Island Winery eating a steak dinner - treason in my book! Besides, it just wouldn't feel like a holiday without family.Gobble Gobble!
